Our Mission

Family Promise rebuilds lives with compassion by providing resources and services that prevent and end homelessness for individuals and families in Washington County, WI.

Family Promise of Washington County started serving homeless families in September of 2010. At that time we provided a cost effective and sustainable way to offer assistance to families at risk of homelessness while transitioning them into stable housing.

In June of 2014 we opened the Promise Center. The Promise Center provides resources for families at risk of homelessness, including shelter, meals, and support services for homeless families in need in our community. It also houses other supportive services such as Professional Services Group.

In February of 2018 we opened Karl’s Place. Karl’s Place is a shelter that serves single men & women at risk of homelessness. The singles shelter addresses a gap in services in our community, bringing together shelter, meals, basic health services, and quality case management for individuals at risk of homelessness.

We are fortunate to be in a community that recognizes the issues of homelessness in our County. Without the generous support of many members of our community the services we offer wouldn’t be possible.
