Hello, I’m Paul Bissett, the Program Director at Family Promise of Washington County. In this role I oversee our Emergency Shelter, Transitional Supportive Housing, Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention programs. I also work directly with guests when they’re searching for apartments and then with the landlords who agree to rent to them through one of our rent assistance programs. As Program Director I also create a variety of reports for federal, state, local and others who have an interest in how successful our programs are at increasing income and moving guests into safe, stable housing.
My educational background includes an MBA in Health Care Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Communication and Psychology. My work experience includes patient financial services, pharmacy benefit administration, home health care, behavioral health, crisis management and social services. I first learned about Family Promise through volunteering to help prepare and serve meals when my church, First United Methodist Church in Hartford, was scheduled to host.
My name is Marisa and I am the Case Manager at Family Promise. I have a degree in Social Work and have worked with children and families for more than 6 years. While working at Family Promise I continue to enjoy the one on one time I get to spend with the families and single women as well as work with our dedicated volunteers who show so much compassion. Whether it is a new guest entering into the program, a celebration for a guest who got a home, or a funny story a child told me; each day brings something new.
Joan attends Peace Church in Kewaskum and has been the Volunteer Coordinator there since Family Promise started in Washington County in 2011. She has been working in the Family Promise office since January of 2014. Joan enjoyed a 32 year career with IBM and retired in 2009. She holds a Master's degree in English.
Housing Resource Specialist
My name is Kaitlin Fritz and I am one of the newest members to the Family Promise team. I started as an intern back in February 2016 while I was finishing out my Social Work degree at UW Milwaukee. After I graduated in August, I was hired on as a staff member. My official role is the Housing Resource Specialist where I assist our clients in finding stable housing and work with our Rapid Rehousing clients.
When I am not at Family Promise, I am working at a daycare in the infant room. I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, taking my dogs for a walk, listening to country music and watching the Packers, especially when they win! I would love to work with children, one day, with my Social Work degree. I love working at Family Promise and I am so grateful for the opportunity they have given me. I am excited to learn new things and can't wait to see where Family Promise takes me.
My connection with Family Promise started in Ozaukee County as one of the orginal board members. Since that time i've been working there as one of the drivers and also working in the office at Family Promise in Washington County. Family Promise is not just a job for me, it's also a passion. I also work as the Executive Director for the Saukville Community Food Pantry.
In my past employment i worked for the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department for just over 30 years, retired in 2004. I've also owned my own business, worked as a business consultant for a national organization and also worked as a licensed minister through the UCC.
