Family Promise of Washington County seeks to end homelessness in Washington County by rebuilding lives with compassion and providing resources and services to individuals and families at risk of homelessness in the community. The organization works to help anyone experiencing homelessness secure safe and stable housing. Our homeless services offer a continuum of care from the first call for help to securing housing. We support our clients every step of the way.

Housing Hotline:

Anyone who is at risk of homelessness may call. The caller will be prescreened by a trained professional and referred to appropriate services.

Coordinated Entry to Housing Services:

Family Promise is the lead coordinated entry agency and employs a Coordinated Entry Specialist who assesses households that are at risk of homelessness in Washington County. All households who are literally homeless are placed on the Housing Prioritization list. The case manager works closely with households on the list to assist them with their housing search. Many households self-resolve and find independent housing because of the supportive services offered by the case manager, others are referred to Rapid Re-Housing or Homeless Prevention when openings are available.

Emergency Shelter Services:

The shelter program is for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in the community. The Shelter Service team works closely with each household to help them find housing and connect to community resources.

Rapid Rehousing:

The Rapid Rehousing program offers case management and rent assistance for individuals and families moving out of homelessness and into housing. The organization helps families secure housing and connect to resources necessary for them to live independently upon the 12-month completion of the program. A big part of the program is financial literacy for each household that participates in an intensive budgeting program while in the Rapid Rehousing Program.

Homeless Prevention:

This prevention program offers rent assistance for households who are being evicted from their homes. The rent assistance helps families maintain housing, prevents them from becoming homeless, and helps them meet their needs.

Case Management:

Family Promise offers case management services to anyone at risk of homelessness in the community. The main office located in West Bend is convenient for people to drop by for information on community resources and housing.
