With a compassionate approach, our team is dedicated to ending homelessness in Washington County. By offering resources and services to individuals and families at risk, we aim to rebuild lives and provide a safe and stable housing solution. Our organization provides a continuum of care, supporting those experiencing homelessness from their initial call for help until they secure housing. We are committed to assisting our clients every step of the way.
Housing Hotline: Our housing helpline is available 24/7, every day of the year, and serves individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness or need help with essential resources. If emergency shelter is needed, our experienced staff will assess the situation and direct them to the appropriate services.
Coordinated Entry to Housing Services: Family Promise serves as the primary agency for coordinated entry and has a dedicated Coordinated Entry Specialist responsible for evaluating households in Washington County that are at risk of homelessness. Any households currently experiencing homelessness are included in the Housing Prioritization list. The case manager collaborates closely with these households to provide support in their search for housing. Thanks to the assistance provided by the case manager, many households can find housing independently, while others are referred to Rapid Re-Housing or Homeless Prevention programs when there are vacancies.
Emergency Shelter Services: The shelter program is designed to help individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in the community. Our committed team works closely with each household, helping them find housing and connect with community resources. We make sure that all their basic needs are taken care of and have staff available 24/7 for support and advocacy.
Rapid Rehousing: The Rapid Rehousing program offers case management and rent assistance for individuals and families moving out of homelessness and into housing. The organization helps families secure housing and connect to resources necessary for them to live independently upon the 12-month completion of the program. A big part of the program is financial literacy for each household that participates in an intensive budgeting program while in the Rapid Rehousing Program.
Homeless Prevention: The prevention program offers financial assistance to households at risk of eviction, allowing them to afford their rent. This aid guarantees that families can maintain a stable residence, prevent homelessness, and meet their essential needs.
Case Management: Our Case Managers offer case management services to anyone at risk of homelessness in the community.
